Team Visioning Process

Consider these questions, one by one, to create a clear vision for your executive team in building the future of your company

  • What is the thrust for business development? What is the driving force?
  • What is the scope of products and markets that will -- and will not -- be considered?
  • What key capabilities are required to make the strategic vision happen?
  • Who are the stakeholders of this company now and in the next several years?
  • How do we work with them? How do we produce value for them?
  • What are the most influential trends in our industry?
  • What marketplace forces are occurring that will affect our market space?
  • How do we compete? Who are relevant competitors?
  • What are the relevant economic, social, political, environmental, and technological influences that we need to incorporate?
  • What is our unique contribution to the world around us? What is the impact of our work?
  • How do we make money? How do we gro profitability?
  • What does our organization structure/framework look like? How do the important elements of the infrastructure interact?
  • How do we handle good times? How do we handle hard times?
  • What are our values? How do people treat each other? How are people recognized?
  • What truly motivates you/what motivates the people at our company?

After each of these questions, ask: "How would we measure our progress?"
